ImpactiFi's vision is to catalyze additional financial flows from the private sector at scale to achieve environmental, societal and social impact and make measurable progress towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ImpactiFi was initiated by Stephan Kaufmann, founder and CEO of accelerategreen AG, who brings years of experience in the development of climate protection projects (under Swiss law) and Net Zero projects based on SBTi. The vision of Stephan and his partners from the impact sector is to build a robust, transparent platform with a range of standardized, certified and investable impact certificates. The platform’s Verified Impact Performance (VIP) system guarantees transparency, traceability and accountability and ensure that every Swiss franc invested or donated has a meaningful and sustainable impact.

ImpactiFi partnered with Axelra to challenge and break down its vision into a concrete venture-building plan. Axelra’s contributions included:

  • Building an early prototype and pitch deck to validate the idea with potential client segments, impact investors, and investment professionals.
  • Designing a marketplace prototype that connects investors and donors with high impact ventures.
  • Developing the Verified Impact Performance (VIP) system with rigorous vetting and due diligence processes to quantify positive outcomes.
  • Distilling ImpactiFi vision, marketplace, and venture roadmap into a tailor-made pitch deck for potential clients and investors.

  • Evaluating different value propositions and business models: Exploring various approaches to find the most effective model that would balance financial returns with positive social outcomes.
  • High-level solution design: Crafting an early-stage solution that encapsulates the core value proposition and customer journey.
  • Researching and condensing the market size: Conducting thorough market research to understand the total addressable market and identify early customer segments.

In the validation phase, the focus shifted to bringing the concept to life and securing early feedback from key stakeholders:

  • Identifying early adoptors and securing meetings: Establishing connections with strategic partners, experts, and potential clients who could provide critical insights.
  • Validating value proposition, business model, and prototype: Engaging stakeholders to test and validate assumptions related to the business model and the value ImpactiFi could bring.
  • Incorporating stakeholder feedback into pitch deck and prototype: Continuously refining the business model, pitch deck, and prototype by integrating the feedback received during discussions and meetings.
